Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. This site is an attempt to record what I've learned about our family history. In these modern times, families tend to be scattered all over the country, if not the world. One of the goals of this web site is to help our family stay connected even though we live far apart.
My name is Julie Ann Hayes. I have been researching my family history since 1994. I became interested in this research after the death of my maternal grandmother. As it has proven difficult to research my maternal heritage, I decided to switch gears and research my paternal heritage around 1999. This site is just the beginning. Most of this information was obtained from talking to living relatives and from researching public records. In the course of doing this research, I've discovered that I have many more relatives than I ever thought possible!
For the protection of the living, I will not post personal information (such as dates, locations, etc) without your permission first. If you notice that I have posted incorrect information or something you wish not to be public, please feel free to let me know and I will remove the requested information.
This is a work in progress, so please contact me if you have any information that might help round out the picture.
Acknowledgments
At this time, I would like to thank the following for helping in the research of this family:
Michael Shawn Hayes, Sr
Fannie Helen (Cox) Hayes
Clifford Lynn Hayes
Clytie Alvarata (Hayes) Likely
Ed and Jane (McInnis) Colburn
And the many others whose names I failed to mention here!!
Of course, a family research project wouldn't exist without our ancestors!
